I think other N.C.s should also be provided with space close to there areas.

If the closing is due to budget issues, then maybe some kind of documentation can be created to illustrate the reasons why Ms. Hahn's budget is needing some cutting back.

I don't know what I would think about whether office space is worth job losses at this time. I don't like anyone to lose their job when it is growing so much harder to find work.

The folks in Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, and other areas should be provided with a better set of reasons for closing the office than have been given, I think.
MWM Richardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08644940232494534872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28181122.post-46847575700399642012008-11-06T11:58:00.000-08:002008-11-06T11:58:00.000-08:00Rarely a clear moment in politics. They are closing an office that is half the price they would pay elsewhere because the property owner is "difficult" (no explanation of what that means)? I'm confused. I understand the budget concerns, but the connection to the elected representative should be paramount.

Janice promises no drop in staff activity or less support in the affected areas. I wonder if she shares as active interest through her personal participation like she puts on her staff. I am asking without making any assumptions other than the reference to the area being a "stepchild". Is Janice too busy sticking her nose into everything in San Pedro while sacrificing her participation and attention to other more critical issues that might be occurring in the gateway? Those are the types of questions she should give serious thought to.

She should have made personal appearances to the neighborhood councils to notify and explain the closing of her office. Her heart may be there, but her logic is not.

BTW, the office in Wilmington (if that is still open) is closer to the south end of the gateway than Pedro or Watts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
